These have been the worst of times for Justin Bieber. Just days after the singer wrapped a difficult week in England, news broke on Sunday that he was unexpectedly pulling out of the second of two planned shows in Portugal.
The show's promoter, Everything is New, posted a message on Sunday announcing that Bieber was cutting short his visit to the country. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber was forced to cancel the second operation, in Portugal, on 12 March," read the statement. "The Canadian singer is eager to play for the Portuguese fans on 11 March." The show was slated to take place at the Pavilhao Atlantico. As of Monday morning (March 11), Bieber had not commented on the cancellation other than a tweet on Sunday that read, "#sundayfunday."
The show cancellation caps a week in which Bieber endured some very public struggles, starting with what he called his "worst birthday," a busted 19th celebration that ended with him being asked to leave a London nightclub.
He then arrived nearly an hour late for his concert last Monday at the O2 Arena, drawing uncharacteristic boos and complaints from some of his Beliebers.
Most distressing, the singer collapsed near the end of Thursday's show at the O2, with no explanation given for the incident.
The capper was a profanity-laced verbal altercation with a British paparazzo on Friday morning that went viral.
The singer's next scheduled dates are on Thursday at the Bizkaia Arena in Ansio-Barakaldo, Spain, and the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, Spain, on Saturday.source:talkofnaija.com
